A room built to be sat in slowly.
Kōhī means coffee in Japanese. The room takes the rest of its manners from the jazz kissa — the listening bars where records are played properly and nobody is hurried out.
Lime plaster, concrete floors, hand-built teak by Mady by Us, ceramics chosen one at a time. Turntables and full-range speakers at the centre of it, because that is what the room is arranged around. It sits in the courtyard at 44 Stanley, a 1930s workshop block that became a home for people who make things.

Whisked, poured, and paid attention to.
Matcha whisked in the bowl the way it should be. Single-origin beans, ground to order, brewed with the water temperature written down. Pastry baked the same morning.
The full list lives on the board in the shop — it changes as the pastry does.

Kōhī Sessions — first and last Sunday of the month.
Selectors and friends take the turntables. Bring your own records if you'd like to play something. Coffee and pastry run as usual. No cover, no list, no rush.

Kōhī doubles as a micro-gallery — photography, textile work and sculpture by artists in the founder's circle, rotated as new work arrives. The furniture is its own exhibit: every table, bench and stool built for this room by Mady by Us Furniture Studio.
